Healthy Eating Habits
For the better growth and development of the child, it is mandatory for the parents to make their child eat a balanced diet that comprises of all the essential nutrients. It must include vegetables, fruits, pulses, meat, carbohydrates and other nutrients that are essential for the healthy living. Childhood is the best stage to introduce the healthy eating habits and any habit that is adopted at this stage will go on in later stages as well. Parents should divide the daily intake in six meals of smaller quantities as compared to the big three meals that we normally take. Moreover, breakfast is very important and should not be skipped at any cost as it gives the mental strength along with physical stability in order to remain active all day in school and at home.
For the better health of the child, parents should take care of the sleeping patterns of the child. Proper sleep is very important as it gives the energy to the body by eliminating the fatigue. Furthermore, it also helps in strengthening the immune system of the body so that the body gets protected from the various diseases. Parents must set the bed timings of the child and it should be adhered strictly. Bed timings must not go beyond 9 p.m. A sleep of eight hours is enough for a healthy body. Sleep deprived children are less likely to concentrate on the school lectures.
With the rise in the sedentary life style, children love to play video games and other indoor games rather than going out. Outdoor activities are very important for the proper growth and healthy body. Always take your child out for a walk or some sports activity. One hour every day is enough for the child to take exercise in the fresh air. Exercise should not be rigorous but includes simple stretching or walking.
